We’re finally home! The twins and I had an amazing 6 weeks in Kentucky visiting my parents, but we missed Neil so much and we were glad to be reunited!
It was a little bit of a rough journey home, though. Three days before flying home, Thing 2 started complaining his ears hurt. By the next day, he was much worse. So we tracked down a weekend clinic (always fun in an unfamiliar state that doesn’t accept your insurance most places) and got him antibiotics for his double ear infections.
The following day I woke up feeling awful. So we trekked back to another urgent care (again, fun insurance stuff) and found out I had a horrible ear infection that required 2 shots and 3 prescriptions to fix.
Needless to say, I was highly nervous about the flight home, since Thing 2 had been on antibiotics only 3 days and me only 2. It was also the red-eye and I was so nervous about delays after our last experience with that. But we made it home on time, without major pain, and in one piece! Now the rush is on to get ready for school. I can’t believe it starts TOMORROW!
