Back in September, I sat in the living room at the iWrite Network retreat and listened to them describe the new anthology collection they were creating. I knew right away I wanted to participate, but I didn’t have even the foggiest idea for a story. The entire drive home, I brainstormed ideas with my amazing accountability partner, Candice, and my friend Stacy. When I got home, I started putting together my proposal for my story. I wrote the first page, and immediately fell in love with Keslee. And First Love, Second Choice was begun.
This was new for me in so many ways. It was the first time I’d written a story for a specific purpose. It was the first time I’d come up with an idea to fit an already established theme. It was the first time I’d worked closely with other writers toward a common goal. It’s the quickest I’ve taken something from idea to publication. Participating in the anthology was such a great learning experience, and so much fun. I loved working with the other authors, and I’m so proud to have my story in a collection with theirs. If you’re looking for sweet, sassy romance stories, look no further! I’ve read all the stories, and while I’m admittedly biased, I think they are all fantastic.
