I’m starting this fun new thing with some other authors called Wonhundred Wednesdays. Each Wednesday we all write a 100 word response to the same prompt. I have so much fun seeing how one prompt can generate so many different responses.
I am not known for my brevity, so we’ll see how these exercises go. 🙂
This weeks’ prompt is: The devil’s name was Fred.
Her eyes narrowed as he walked across the courtyard, arm around the girl that was his next victim.
Last week, his arm had been around her. If someone told her then that he was nothing but a devil in disguise, she would’ve laughed.
Her hand reached into the backpack and caressed the sharp blade. Fifteen seconds to cross the courtyard, plunge the knife into his heart, and twist.
Just like he’d done to her.
The girl laughed. Fred kissed her neck. He looked across the courtyard, saw her watching him, and smirked.
She grabbed the blade and sprinted toward him.
Come see how the other writers interpreted this prompt!

Ooooh – loved it!
Whoa! Talk about a woman scorned! I wanted to see if she'd actually succeed. 🙂
I want to know what happens next! Great job!
Thanks, everyone!
