Prompt: Most vivid amongst the memories of his home town…
The most vivid memory he had of his home village was the memory of burning his house to the ground on his seventh birthday.
He hadn’t wanted to burn the house down, but you didn’t argue with the spirits. They had instructed him to lock his sleeping parents in their room, fill the place with straw, and throw a torch into it.
He pulled his cloak up over his head. That had been nine years ago today. And now the spirits had instructed him to return here. It was time to dig up his parents’ bones and complete the ritual.
See what the others had to say!

Oh man, intriguing! I would love to know the rest :).
Wow, that is intense! I would love to read more of this one!
That leaves a lot of questions for the reader to imagine what comes next. Or a great start for you to do more.
ooh, so creepy. I'm kinda scared to know what else the ritual entails. <br />
