Wonhundred Word Wednesdays

Sorry I’m a day late this week, peeps. Life on the homefront is a little nuts right now. Enjoy!

Prompt: It was just for one night.
It was just for one night. Carleigh would owe her forever. This was the kind of debt that would take decades to repay. Maybe centuries. Leah had a lot of favors she planned on calling in.
Carleigh whispered to Leah, “You’re up. Go get ‘em.”
“I can’t believe I agreed to this.” Leah crept along the back of the bar, ignoring the loud laughter and cat calls. They weren’t directed at her. Yet.
She took the steps, legs shaking. She whispered to the DJ, then stepped onto stage.
“Next up for karaoke night, Leah!”
There was no backing out now.
See what the others had to say!
