Prompt: Reluctantly he handed over the key.
Dane quietly opened his bedroom door, looking up and down the hallway. He crept down the stairs, avoiding the one that creaked.
The party was going to be epic. Lucy would be there. He knew she was into him.
Dane tip-toed through the living room. He lifted the car key off its hook on the wall. Ten minutes and he’d be at Max’s, and they’d be on their way to the party.
The kitchen lights flicked on. Dane flinched.
“Going somewhere?” Dad asked. His arms were folded, his face unhappy.
Dane’s shoulders fell. Silently he handed over the key.
Busted.

Very relatable (if not that situation). Who hasn't been stopped from doing what they want while growing up?
Busted! loved it. Kind of a surprise I wasn't expecting and it was great.
Awesome! Love that his dad was one step ahead of him.
I can relate to this 🙂
Haahaa! Great post!
Haha! I loved this! Great idea and great story!
Haha. Parents always know. I feel bad that he couldn't see the girl though. Nice job!
